Tea caddy with wooden cover(comma) (清朝) Qing Dynasty 1644 – 1912 CE. Eighteenth century blue underglaze porcelain. This type of blue and white porcelain is typical eighteenth century manufacture. The blue is lighter in shade than earlier Ming and later nineteenth century trade wares. The shape was used to store loose leaf tea for immediate use.
